PSTP is 22 years old!

2017-05-15

1995 początki 422 years ago, on 15 May 1995, the Management Board of AMU Foundation created Poznan Science and Technology Park, the first institution of this kind in Poland.

In January 1995 AMU Foundation was given a land at Rubież 46 street as a donation from Wielkopolski Okręgowy Zakład Gazownictwa. On 15 May 1995 the Management Board of AMU Foundation established Poznan Science and Technology Park. The idea was to create a place which would bring together the academia, the industry and local authorities in order to develop a fruitful cooperation. The idea to establish the park was developed by Prof. Bogdan Marciniec.

Before the Park was created, a large gas reservoir, measuring 44 m in diameter and with a height of 80 m, needed to be taken apart, as it was located on the land which was donated to PSTP. So the operation of the Park was initiated by a “big bang”.

The Park has now 5 buildings and it hosts more than 80 tenants. Approximately 500 people work here on a daily basis. We provide laboratory services, incubate emerging businesses, offer support in technology transfer, organise training, apply for EU funding, etc. The last 22 years have been very fruitful! Thank you very much for being with us. It is thanks to you that we can make history of PSTP and innovativeness in Poznan!
