25 years of Poznan Science and Technology Park

This 25th anniversary of PPNT is a great opportunity to take a look back at what has happened over the quarter-century of its existence. That is also a good time to analyse the impact of those events on how the institution developed in the past, is developing now, and will develop in the future.
Our mission is to commercialise knowledge and technology, particularly in the fields of chemistry, physics, biotechnology and IT via scientific research and based on our unique skills and specialised infrastructure.
We now render professional services for innovative businesses and science, ensuring a friendly and creative environment for projects. We offer research, development and innovation support, as well as forging new relationships with scientists and businesses to ensure commercial success. By selling high-quality services and thanks to external financing, we are a great place to work, offering our employees job satisfaction and opportunities for professional development.
There are about 80 technology parks and park initiatives in Poland. PPNT is the only park in Poland qualified as a high standard scientific unit (cat. A, according to the Ministry of Science and Higher Education). Over 1000 regional companies cooperate with PPNT annually.
To sum up, from 1995 we have:
- incubated over 120 startups,
- developed 40 technologies, some of which were implemented for production,
- published 270 scientific publications and about 80 publications on the importance of innovation,
- developed and protects 50 own patents and 110 patent applications in the country and abroad
- managed over 120 EU projects in the field of designing new technologies, entrepreneurship and innovation.
- hosted over 51,000 training and workshop participants,
- showed over 100,000 visitors of the PPNT ImagineLab, a park center for popularizing science that physics, chemistry, engineering and innovation are a great source of fun.
