An application for water sports enthusiasts created by our portfolio company

Now you can download the NaviSail application and use it on your mobile phone or tablet. The app was created to help navigate through Polish rivers and reservoirs. One of its greatest advantages is that you can use a special algorithm that will give you waterway directions from one place located in Poland to another. The product was developed by our portfolio company.

The creator of the application, Dominik Lewandowski, the President of the NaviSail company, explains: “Using a special technology, the NaviSail application shows the shortest route between two points. Providing the user with waterway directions linking any two spots, for example Szczecin and Kraków, is not a problem for the app.”

The NaviSail application is an intelligent map of Polish waters. It helps to travel through the 20,000 km long waterway network and to find more than 50,000 places, such as harbours, marinas, restaurants, or shops. With NaviSail you can also check current whether conditions in Poland and the weather forecast for the next 72 hours. Any weather changes and hazards are clearly presented on the application’s maps and charts.

“It took us some time to develop our own navigation algorithms, to test the application, and prepare to launch it. We were determined to create a product of the greatest quality and usability, and now we can offer a unique application for inland waterway tourists and water sports enthusiasts”, says Dominik Lewandowski.

If you have a sailing boat, motorboat, scooter, or kayak, the app can be very useful. It can be accessed on Android and iOS smartphones and tablets.

NaviSail is one of the companies supported by the seed fund of Poznan Science and Technology Park.
