Silver medal for natural plant protection products

Marcin Śmiglak, PhD, a researcher from Poznan Science and Technology Park, was awarded a silver medal during the International Warsaw Invention Show (IWIS). He was recognised for his innovative research on biologically active compounds used for plant protection.

IWIS 2017 took place on 9-11 October 2017. IWIS is an international event related to innovation and inventiveness – the largest in Poland and one of the biggest in Europe. During the event Polish companies and universities have an opportunity to present their most innovative inventions and recent technologies.

Among these inventions were natural plant protection products developed by Śmiglak’s team. The project entitled “Helping plants from the inside – plant resistance inducers, organic salts having natural origin component, as new, safe and efficient plant protection product” was recognised by the international jury and awarded the silver medal at IWIS 2017!
