Since 29th of October untill 9th of November 2025, Roman Niedzielski – PPNT expert – participated in a study visit to the USA as part of the Open World Program. The meeting was devoted to the topic of Business and Academia/University Partnerships: Entrepreneurship.
Program Open World is financed by United States Congress and led by Office of the Congress for International Leadership . Additionally American Councils for International Education is responsible for its realization.
The delegation first visited Washington, D.C., then Phoenix and Tempe, Arizona, where nearly 30 meetings were held in a short period of time within the innovation ecosystem created around Arizona State University, its entrepreneurship centers, incubators, and municipal partners. The talks focused on, among other things, models of cooperation between science and business, support for startups, and the role of universities and science and technology parks in the development of local economies.
Visit in the USA was an opportunity for experience exchange within the local institutions and a look-in to differences in management between American entities and those in Central and Eastern Europe. Discussions held and observations brinded a lot of inspirations, which PPNT will be able to use in the further development of the innovation ecosystem.
