SUMMARY OF THE IOB NETWORK PROJECT IN WIELKOPOLSKA REGION

In recent months the PPNT team participated in a series of trainings as a part of the Business Environment Institutions Network in Wielkopolska area. The activities were based on the development of key competencies in the field of cooperation with SMEs.

Following PPNT experts were involved in trainings: Kamila Dobek, Elżbieta Książek , Małgorzata Piotrowicz, Karolina Duch – Balcerek, Karolina Halladin, Bartłomiej Walczak, Tomasz Smolarz, Agata Wylegała and Emilia Wójcik.

We were operating with: WARP Sp. z. o.o. Turek Chamber of Commerce, the Kalisz Business Incubator, the Business Incubator in Leszno, the Chamber of Commerce of Northern Wielkopolska, and the INGO Association of Economic Initiatives.

This complex process strengthened PPNT team’s competence in diagnosing companies needs, planning development strategies and supporting entrepreneurships in change – from innovation through digitalization to organizational and HR issues.

Training package includes nine thematic sections and program included among others:

  • Strategic and economic analysis

Trainings from complex diagnosis of the companies were prepared by the PPNT team: Participants started from strategic potential and market position assessments, then they went through financial analysis, and finished with identification of key development factors. During the process, participants learned how to use practical tools like PESTEL, SWOT, Porter’s 5 streghts analysis, VRIO and BCG matrices and gained the ability to financial condition and validity of investments evaluations.

  • Marketing

PPNT team learned the methods of diagnosing marketing and sales issues in the SMEs and the ways of building effective strategies of client acquisition. Trainings involved market segmentation, competition analysis, value preposition creation, digital and traditional marketing, storytelling, SEO, SEM, social media and marketing activity planning with a use of SOSTAC model.

  • Internationalization

Training enabled advisors preparation for supporting of companies with entering the new markets including local and foreign ones. Participants learned export strategies, strategic partnerships, licensing, franchise, cross-border sales and e-commerce. They gained skills in assessing companies’ readiness for expansion, analyzing target markets (SWOT, PESTEL), researching competitors, and planning international marketing.

  • Leadership, management models, team building, and talent management

The training focused on developing managerial and leadership skills and the ability to build effective teams. Participants learned about leadership styles, management models, task delegation techniques, management by objectives (KPI/OKR), employee motivation, conflict resolution, and talent retention. The training provided tools for improving team communication, cooperation culture, and HR strategy in SMEs.

  • ESG, including identification of sectors to applying changes

The training covered issues related to environmental protection, corporate social responsibility, and corporate governance (Environmental, Social, Governance). Participants learned the legal regulations, companies responsibilities, the benefits of implementing ESG (e.g., “green loans”) and tools for assessing a company’s impact. This enables them to advise companies on identifying areas for ESG implementation and highlight the business benefits of these changes.

  • Digital transformation

Training was prepared by the team dedicated to supporting companies in the field of digitization and the use of Industry 4.0 technologies. Participants learned the tools for digital maturity assessments, the main IT systems used in SMEs, directions of technological development, and opportunities for implementing AI. The training allowed participants to assess the needs, readiness, and benefits of digital transformation in enterprises and to identify potential sources of financing.

  • Business transformation coaching

The training developed skills in supporting businesses in change processes and implementing innovations. Participants learned techniques for business coaching, building trust, active listening, asking questions, and motivating entrepreneurs. The training also covered planning, monitoring, and adapting innovation strategies, as well as building long-term cooperation with companies in the field of business transformation.
