On 12 December, the latest issue of Życie Uniwersyteckie, the official magazine of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, was published. This time, alongside news and highlights from academic life, readers will find a special section dedicated to the history and anniversary of the Poznań Science and Technology Park (PPNT).
„In many initiatives, we could act as a partner or consortium member. We are something of a chameleon, because we operate simultaneously as a foundation, an enterprise, and a research entity. We can provide support in scientific, organisational, and outreach activities. Our domain is the development of entrepreneurship (including academic start-ups) as well as the commercialisation of research results ” – says prof. Hieronim Maciejewski, Director of PPNT and President of the UAM Foundation (FUAM).
PPNT is the most important link within the UAM Foundation, under which it operates. For three decades, the Park has been building an innovation ecosystem, supporting entrepreneurs and creating space where business and science can connect.
In the dedicated 12-page supplement, you can read about the beginnings of the first science and technology park in Poland, explore the scholarship programmes delivered by PPNT, learn about the Park’s entrepreneurship ecosystem, meet the teams, and discover the Management Board’s and Directorate’s vision for the coming years.
The section about PPNT can be found on pages 65–76.
This issue also includes:
a feature on the Materials Synthesis Team, led by PhD Eng. Marcin ŚmiglakVice President of the Management Board (pp. 26–28),
an article by expert Izabela Stelmaszewska-Patyk about the Poland West Horizontal Contact Point, which she leads and which operates within the Park (pp. 40–41).
