PPNT at MTP. A Busy Time of Meetings, Technology, and Inspiration

01.06.2026

The last days of May were a busy time at the Międzynarodowe Targi Poznańskie. From May 26 to 29, five events took place, which the Poznań Science and Technology Park supported in various ways and at different levels.

Of particular significance to the Park was the European Science Fair – a joint initiative of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań and the MTP Group. The event’s program included seminars, exhibitions, and panel discussions devoted to science, technology, and the challenges of the future.

During one of the panels, Dominika Narożna, Prof. AMU, PhD, DSc, Justyna Adamska, Ph.D., and Dawid Zieliński, Ph.D., from Adam Mickiewicz University discussed the role of the PPNT in the energy transition of Eastern Greater Poland.

In this context, they cited the example of the ongoing “Life After Coal” project, which demonstrates how crucial cooperation, expert knowledge, and consistently planned actions are in the process of socio-economic transformation.

The European Science Fair also provided an opportunity for face-to-face meetings. Alongside research institutes, universities, tech startups, and organizations involved in the development of science and technology, the Poznań Science and Technology Park also had its own booth.

Experts speaking with visitors included Tomasz Smolarz, Roman Niedzielski, Agata Wylegała, Adrian Zając, Marcin Przybylak, Natalia Kuc, Emilia Wójcik, and Dominik Bocheński.

At the same time, the ITM Industry Europe trade fair—held under the patronage of PPNT—took place, showcasing offerings from companies in the industrial sector. The event brought together industry representatives and provided a forum for discussions on automation, factory development, the implementation of artificial intelligence in manufacturing, and new technologies.

The trade fair was accompanied by events held at the Poznań Congress Center. On May 27, the Dual Use Congress took place, focusing on technologies of strategic importance, cooperation between government, business, and experts, and new investment opportunities. The second event was the MOVE Congress, which focused on the challenges facing the Polish and European transportation and automotive sectors.

On May 27 and 28, Poznań also hosted the latest edition of Subcontracting Meetings 2026—cooperation meetings organized by the Enterprise Europe Network operating at PPNT. This provided an opportunity to establish contacts with new business partners, subcontractors, and industrial service providers. The meetings covered topics such as metalworking, plastics processing, industrial electronics, and technological solutions for industry.
