The Cosmeotech Upcycling 2025 conference, organized in cooperation with Ewa Kilian-Pięta, CEO of Laboratorium Symbiosis, was held at the Poznań Science and Technology Park. The event brought together experts and practitioners from the cosmetics industry to discuss the latest trends and innovative solutions in upcycling, downcycling, water upcycling, and responsible cosmetics production.
Experts from PPNT spoke at the conference. Agnieszka Lewandowska, MBA, discussed ESG principles in the context of creating eco-friendly product statements, drawing attention to ways of avoiding greenwashing. Dr. Tomasz Zgoła, together with Agnieszka Lewandowska, MBA, addressed the topic of biodiversity and CO₂ storage options, and presented a carbon footprint calculator. Dr. Magdalena Palacz presented the effectiveness of upcycling technology in cosmetic hair care products, while Kamila Dobek discussed forms of international support for companies implementing circular economy solutions within the Enterprise Europe Network.
The event program also included lectures on topics such as Ecological Debt Day, the use of cosmetic raw materials after probiotic production, research on deep eutectic fluids, and water upcycling.
