International start-ups established in Poznań
2016-06-06On June 6 Poznan Science and Technology Park (PSTP) initiated a series of international workshops the aim of which is to set up modern enterprises and implement innovative business ideas.
The scrum training is part of the EU-XCEL programme. It aims to support entrepreneurship of young people. During the project implementation international groups will be created. Their members will work together for about 5 months on a business idea that they want to develop. The PSTP’s InQbator is the only Polish unit hosting EUXCEL participants and supporting them in developing their ideas.
On Monday (June 6) in PSTP head office 31 participants from as many as 10 countries started working on their start-ups. The attendees represent the following countries: Ireland, Denmark, Spain, Greece, Poland, Germany, Luxembourg, Belgium, Romania and Bulgaria. The group consists of people who have business experience as they manage their own start-ups as well as young people with new ideas, enthusiasm and expertise, ready to set up their own businesses.
The 5-day scrum training will continue until Friday (June 10). The participants’ main task is to develop an idea for an ICT start-up taking into account the problems observed on the market. The participants come from different countries which makes it easier to come up with global solutions. The training will be followed by a 12-week remote work phase during which the participants will still be supported by experts, also from PSTP’s InQbator. The authors of the best projects will have a chance to present their start-ups in Munich, during the Challenge Final which will take place in October 2016.
PSTP’s InQbator is the Polish partner of the programme.
The event is held under the media patronage of Radio Afera.
