Prospects for the development of research laboratories – a conference held at PSTP

On 9-10 March, PSTP was the capital of Polish research laboratories. A group of experts working in laboratories on a daily basis was discussing the future of this industry in Poland during the training conference “Prospects for the development of research laboratories”.
The “Prospects for the development of research laboratories” conference is a workshop meeting addressed to representatives of the academia as well as lab managers and staff from various companies and research institutions. The programme of the event offered sessions devoted to practical aspects of working at laboratories. Among others, the programme included presentations on:
- The selection of adequate equipment for a chemical laboratory
- Clean room – how to meet the design and infrastructure requirements
- Waste management at laboratories
- The management of laboratory according to the disposition of an amended regulation ISO/IEC 17025
During the conference, participants could learn about the capabilities of the laboratories at Poznan Science and Technology Park, including the Supercritical CO2 Laboratory and Poznan Radiocarbon Laboratory.
The event was organised by PSTP and the Polish journal Laboratorium–Przegląd Ogólnopolski.
