PSTP’s DataCenter accredited with ISO 20 000!

2015-07-15

Poznan Science and Technology Park’s DataCenter has been accredited with ISO 20000 and ISO 27001 – a unique, prestigious certificate. ISO certification demonstrates high-quality service, information security and the quality of IT service management.

DataCenter specialists have developed and implemented the Integrated IT Service Management and Information Security System. By doing so they put emphasis on the Clients’ personal data security and developed modern IT service management methods. In practice it translates into continuous operation of the system and guarantees highest standards of customer service. Developing such an efficient and safe system is achieved through constant monitoring and reporting on the state of the power supply system, cooling system, network devices, disk arrays, servers and many other elements which influence the operation of IT infrastructure. This makes it possible to detect errors and prevent possible failures so that the customers do not have to worry about them.

Thanks to this, the client’s system operates without any interruption after it has been started. If the client requests so, we are able to provide detailed information on the operation of the IT infrastructure – says Tomasz Łukaszewicz, the director of PSTP’s DataCenter.

The implementation of the system has been carried out in two directions: the DataCenter team defined necessary procedures and, at the same time, developed IT and technological solutions which were necessary to meet strict requirements of ISO 20000 and ISO 27001. Thanks to the team’s expertise and experience the work has been completed in record time of only 6 months.

The external audit of DataCenter was carried out on 23-24 June by TUV Nord: one of the most popular and prestigious companies responsible for certification of quality systems. TUV Nord hires more than 7,000 employees in 70 countries all over the world. The auditors who examined the DataCenter system did not find any incidence of non-conformity with ISO standards. What is more, they concluded that the standards of DataCenter significantly exceed ISO requirements with regard to monitoring of services.

Such an approach to service management, clients’ systems and data, to building enforcement capacity as well as transparency of service parameters for Customers leads to the conclusion that PSTP’s DataCenter is a reliable supplier of ICT services – said Robert Wójcik, lead auditor, SMS, ISMS TÜV NORD.

To summarise, AMU Foundation is happy to inform that it has been accredited with ISO 20000 which demonstrates high standards of IT service management. In Poland, only 16 companies have received this certificate, including only 4 units which provide hosting and collocation services. ISO 27001 accreditation, on the other hand, demonstrates that the foundation complies with the best practice framework for an information security management system.
