IS THE MOTHER EARTH SAVED? – AN ECOLOGICAL PERFORMANCE “CO(2) ZMIENIACIE W KLIMACIE?”

YESTERDAY, SEPTEMBER 18,  A FAMILY OUTDOOR PERFORMANCE “CO(2) ZMIENIACIE W KLIMACIE?” WAS HELD IN THE POZNAŃ SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY PARK. IT WAS THE FIRST SUCH INITIATIVE IN THE NEW CIRCUS. ALL PARTICIPANTS HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO SEE WHETHER THE MOTHER EARTH WOULD BE SAVED.

About 200 participants took part in the environmental performance. The audience welcomed Professor Hieronim Maciejewski, President and CEO of PPNT, who mentioned the important role of each of us in the environmental care process and recognized the value of ecological attitudes and social attitudes in environmental terms. Other members of the board were also among the guests, namely dr hab. Marcin Śmiglak and dr hab. Dominika Narożna. The production was also attended by Justyna Makowska, Director of the Department of Culture of the City of Poznan. Mikołaj Basiński, an activist who runs the “Szukam w lesie” channel on YouTube, also appeared in preparation for the production, together with Mikołaj, actors participated in the forest cleaning action and found rubbish was used on stage.

The visual form of the show, based on gestures, has moved the participants to a completely different place – where the fight for the survival of the planet Earth is taking place. The youngest audience watched stages with great attention. The combination of the world of science and art has created a performance with artistic and educational values. The HUB B+R team help us and supported chemistry and ecology knowledge in the conceptual work on the show.

The promotion of eco-attitudes and environmental behavior was the main message of the “Co(2) zmieniacie w klimacie” production directed by Barbara Prądzyńska. The script was written by Marta Kuczyńska. We mentioned the actors and everyone involved in the creative process here. The producer and the originator of the project is Natalia Gorzalanczyk, who works in Poznań’s Science and Technology Park.
