WE ARE ESTABLISHING COOPERATION IN NORWAY
2024-03-06We are estabilishing cooperation with leading industrial parks in Norway!
AS PART OF THE PROJECT “CIR-CO-WAY – POLISH-NORWEGIAN WAY TO CIRCULAR COOPERATION IN INDUSTRIAL, SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY PARKS”, WE VISITED LEADING NORWEGIAN PARKS. THE TRIP RESULTED NOT ONLY IN GAINING NEW PARTNERS IN NORWAY, BUT ALSO IN STRENGTHENING OUR RELATIONS WITH POLISH INSTITUTIONS.
Thanks to the visit, we are establishing cooperation with leading industrial and technological institutions. The project, led by the Pomerania Development Agency, the Centre for Sustainable Development at the University of Gdansk and Skogmo IndustriPark in Trøndelag, focuses on cooperation between industry and innovation centres on green transformation.
Main objectives of the project:
- to explore the potential of the parks and the Norwegian best practice in the field of the closed loop economy
- to strengthen the competence and role of science, industry and technology parks in the green transition, in particular in the context of the circular economy
- to establish cooperation and knowledge exchange between Polish and Norwegian parks
- development of recommendations and a guide based on Norwegian best practices and good examples of material flows, sustainable supply chains and cooperation based on a circular economy.
- Organisation of seminars/workshops to improve the skills of park staff and member companies. Such an initiative, in addition to its value in terms of practical knowledge, will promote the results of the project. It will also raise awareness of climate change and green transformation among the participants.
As part of the visit, we visited Skogmo IndustriPark to learn about their closed-loop solutions. We also visited a zero-emission building at Norges teknisk-naturvitenskapelige universitet (NTNU).
On behalf of the PPNT, Agnieszka Lewandowska, the Management Board Plenipotentiary for Business Operations and Head of the Research Services Team, took part in the trip. She not only presented the Poznan Science and Technology Park to the participating institutions, but also talked about our activities in the field of closed loop economy.
The Norwegian project partner, Skogmo IndustriPark, is the leading industrial and development park in the northern Trøndelag region. It brings together up to 53 companies involved in manufacturing, transport and maintenance services. The aim of the park’s management is not only to ensure sustainable development within the park, but also to achieve complete climate neutrality by 2040, while at the same time increasing turnover and employment in the member companies.
