AGCHEM 2022 INTERNATIONAL SCIENCE CONFERENCE ALREADY IN PPNT IN SEPTEMBER! SIGN UP!

2022-07-25
3.THE CONFERENCE “ADVANCE ANCES IN GREEN CHEMISTRY” – AGCHEM 2022 WILL TAKE PLACE FROM 26-30 SEPTEMBER 2022 IN THE POZNAŃ SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY PARK. THE THIRD EDITION OF THE CONFERENCE IS ALREADY ENTERING A NEW SCIENTIFIC LEVEL AND ALLOWS BOTH THE PRESENTATION OF RESEARCH RESULTS AND THE ESTABLISHMENT OF COOPERATION ON THE INTERNATIONAL CHEMICAL ARENA. THE EVENT IS ORGANIZED BY THE POZNAN SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY PARK.

AGChem 2022 is a meeting point for young researchers from Europe who carry out basic research and implement already developed technologies. The conference combines the complementary nature of modern science, namely fundamental research, application search, technology development and the implementation of new solutions. It’s also an opportunity to show off your own companies and find other startup companies that are working under green chemicals. The aim of the conference is to create a place where leading researchers from all over Europe will be able to share the latest developments in key research areas related to green chemistry. The third edition of the event is a stimulus to discuss your research, discussions on the potential to implement and commercialize the results.

The idea of the conference is to have a close relationship between basic research and the exploitation of industrial results. The September event was divided into thematic sessions, with speakers and conference participants. The AGChem International Conference is focused on areas such as:

  • ionic liquids,
  • materials,
  • catalysis,
  • electrochemistry and
  • biosciences.

The conference will have a special place in technology of modern eco-friendly materials such as polymers, as well as research into technologies for the extraction and recovery of raw materials for their production. These areas constitute a complementary whole of research into green technologies.

The conference is chaired by dr. Marcin Śmiglak, who is the head of the research group in Poznań Science and Technology Park and his scientific interests concern synthesis and innovation in the application of ionic liquids.

During the 3 th edition of the conference, excellent scientists and speakers will take the floor:

  1. Dr. Agnieszka Brandt-Talbot, who is the leader of the sustainable Coal Research team at the Imperial College London chemistry department. It is also a co-founder and director of the Lixea start-up which develops an innovative process of fractionation biomass using low-cost ionic liquids.
  2. Dr. Nicholas Ghergoz, who is from the University of Lincoln, and is a special professor of chemistry. Author of 94 scientific articles from almost 5 000 quotes.
  3. Dr. Marco Haumann, who is the Head of hybrid materials for the Research Group in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Friedrich-Alexandra in Erlangen-Nuremberg. His speech will focus on the thin layers of ionic liquids supported and on how they can strengthen industrial catalytic processes.
  4. Senentxu Lanceros-Mendez, a scientific director in Bmaterials, and also holds the position of Associate Professor at the Faculty of Physics at the University of Minho, Portugal. Author of 750 scientific articles from more than 20 000 citations and co-author of several patents. Its work focuses on areas of intelligent and multifunctional materials for sensors and actuators, energy and biomedical applications.
  5. Isabel Marrucho, who is the Associate Professor at the Faculty of Chemical Engineering at the Instituto Superior Tecnico, Universidade de Lisboa. Its main focus is on the use of ionic liquids and deep eutectic solvents, demonstrating their versatility. The group is working on the design of new advanced materials, which simultaneously show ionic liquids with attractive thermal properties and mechanical properties of polymers.

Scientists will share their knowledge and will be guided by the discussion already in September. AGChem 2022 is a conference to show the scientific Community and industry where we are in green chemistry, what we are working on and what research directions have already been implemented globally. The entries are until 31 August 2022
