The aim of our activities is to bring together and network creators, artists, art meetenaers, researchers and entrepreneurs associated with or interested in this area. For those interested in this group, we would like to create a space in which to look at the topic of digitization of art and the themes that accompany this phenomenon. This is the first such initiative in Poland. The format of the meetings is open, open, workshop, experimental and creative, but seeks to create a formal group of stakeholders and projects to give an opinion.

On the first meeting, we chose non-fungible tokens (NFT), which are now gaining popularity and bringing almost as much fascination as controversy. We are aware that digitization and digital tools are becoming more common and it is impossible to push or keep this subject on the margins of interest for only the most passionate people. Especially with regard to new technologies (e.g. blockchain, NFT tokens, cryptography). There are many webinars, materials and articles that explain these issues, but the relative freshness of some phenomena also provides a great opportunity for controversy, understatement, shortcomings or even fraud. That is why, among other things, we wanted to create a space where we could take on topics that have so far been insufficiently explored or not addressed in the public space of the Polish discourse around the digitization of art.

The meeting consisted of two parts: the first was dedicated to introducing and showing the different perspectives of art digitization using blockchain and NFT technology. Former President Blockchain Poland, founder of SmartVerum, Bartosz Bilicki, presented the presentation “between technology, passion and business”; the Cybersecurity panel explained Piotr Cielas of Halalorn. Examples of NFT applications in the music industry were also shown, Tomasz Olszewski from Candao, and the blockchachal collections of Simplex, illustrated graphic figures,’ said Konrad Kirpluk. During the meeting there was no lack of a critical scientific and research perspective on the phenomena associated with the popularization of the NFT; Aleksandra Skowrońska, PhD in the Anthropology and Kultuznawa of the Adam Mickiewicz Institute, the Theater and Art Department of the media presented some interesting interpretations.

The second part of the meeting took the form of an open discussion where questions could be asked to those who had previously presented their work, and also provided their own opinion on the topics covered. The conversation was around NFT challenges, opportunities, threats and the future. It has not been based on both ethical and technological and social challenges, which are directly linked to the different interpretations of the philosophy associated with web3.
