On 19–20 October, Poznań University of Technology hosted the 5th Central European Technology Forum CETEF’26, held under the patronage of the Poznań Science and Technology Park (PPNT). The two-day event provided an opportunity for discussions with representatives of academia, technology, and business.
The event was organised by the Polish Chamber of Commerce for Advanced Technology (IZTECH). This year’s edition was held under the theme “High Technologies for Europe’s Security”. The programme featured conferences covering topics such as energy transition, biotechnology, agricultural technologies, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity. Another important part of the event was the Horizon Europe Matchmaking Event, which provided opportunities for networking and finding partners for international research and development projects.
PPNT was represented in the expert area by Joanna Bosiacka-Kniat, Izabela Stelmaszewska-Patyk, Karolina Duch-Balcerek, and Agata Wylegała. The event offered numerous opportunities for discussions on research and development projects and funding opportunities available through European programmes.
We were also present in the podcast area. During our segment, we discussed the activities of the Horizon Europe Regional Contact Point for Western Poland, which operates at PPNT.
Participation in CETEF’26 provided an opportunity not only to explore current trends in technological development but, above all, to connect with individuals and organisations interested in collaboration. We would like to thank the organisers for the opportunity to participate in the event and everyone we spoke with for the valuable exchange of ideas.
