“Nowe Pogłosy” Festival Presented to the Media

20.10.2026

On 20 October, a press conference dedicated to the “Nowe Pogłosy” National Student Song Festival was held in the Senate Room of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. Representatives of UAM and the Poznań Science and Technology Park (PPNT) presented the idea behind the festival and its main organisational objectives.

The festival was introduced by Bogumiła Kaniewska, Prof., PhD, DSc, Rector of UAM, Hieronim Maciejewski, Prof., PhD, DSc, Eng., President of the Management Board of the UAM Foundation and Director of PPNT, Joanna Wójcik, Prof., PhD, DSc, Vice-Rector of UAM for Student Affairs and Education, Dominika Narożna, Prof. AMU, PhD, DSc, Festival Director and Member of the Board of the UAM Foundation, and Maciej Muraszko, Artistic Director of the Festival.

The organisers aim to ensure that student song remains a vibrant form of artistic expression, encouraging young people to find their own voice and fostering connections between generations of performers and audiences. The festival is designed to give emerging artists an opportunity to develop their talents and gain stage experience.

The festival strengthens cooperation between UAM and PPNT in the field of culture. AMU contributes its experience in education and supporting young people’s development, while PPNT brings expertise in building partnerships and turning ideas into tangible initiatives. Their shared goal is to create opportunities for discovering talent, gaining stage experience, and showcasing the creative potential of the academic community.

“At PPNT, we help develop ideas and create opportunities for people with diverse backgrounds to work together. Now, in partnership with AMU, we are applying these capabilities to a cultural initiative. We want to give young performers the opportunity to develop their skills and present their talents to a wider audience. For us, this is another way of supporting creativity and fostering cooperation that translates into tangible development opportunities for young people”, emphasised Hieronim Maciejewski, Prof., PhD, DSc, Eng.

The festival programme includes activities taking place from autumn 2026 to April 2027. The highlight will be the final concert, scheduled for 14 April 2027 at the AMU University Auditorium in Poznań. Young performers will take to the stage to present fresh interpretations of songs from past decades.
