SUMMARY OF DNI OZE 2025 (RES DAYS) – TRANSFORMATION FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS

28.10.2025

On October 23-24, the Poznań Science and Technology Park organized “Renewable Energy Days – Transformation for Future Generations” an event dedicated to global energy transformation and the pursuit of climate neutrality.

The conference began at the Marshal’s Office of the Wielkopolska Province, and was officially opened by Jacek Bogusławski, member of the Marshal’s Office Management Board, and Prof. PhD eng. Hieronim Maciejewski, Director of Poznań Science and Technology Park .

The event was devoted to the most important achievements, challenges, and prospects in the field of renewable energy sources and the transition to climate neutrality. The RES Days were held as part of the Life After Coal PL project, which aims to develop and implement a management system that supports regions and local communities in the effective implementation of initiatives to achieve climate neutrality. The project includes the preparation of action plans, risk analyses, progress monitoring, and active dialogue with residents, businesses, and social organizations.

During the conference, experts from Poland and abroad presented current trends and best practices, and discussed Poland’s role in the European energy transition. Speakers included Timon Wehnert from the Wuppertal Institute for Climate, Environment and Energy, who presented his vision of the world after achieving climate neutrality, and Dr. Yi-kuang Chen from the Norwegian University of Life Sciences, who discussed the effects and challenges facing the European energy transition.

During the panel discussion devoted to the Policy Lab platform, participants considered the importance of cross-sector cooperation in the transformation process of Eastern Greater Poland. The discussion was moderated by Dr. Justyna Adamska, Deputy Director of PPNT. The role of communication and education in green transformation processes was discussed by prof. UAM PhD Dominika Narożna, Member of the Management Board, emphasizing the importance of social awareness and citizen involvement in pro-environmental activities.

The conference was followed by a gala organized by PPNT, during which the winners of two competitions held as part of the Life After Coal PL project were awarded.

The first one, “EkoWolontariusz” (EcoVolunteer), was aimed at young people from the Eastern Wielkopolska region (the districts: kolski, koniński, słupecki, and turecki, as well as the cities with district rights: Konin, Kalisz, Wągrowiec, and Ostrów Wielkopolski). “EkoInnowacje”, on the other hand, was addressed to companies implementing innovative solutions, products, or business models that reduce negative environmental impact and support sustainable development in the region.

The following were nominated for the final: Municipal Waste Management Plant in Konin, Trele Morele Design Anna Szczepańska, and Water Supply and Sewage Company Ltd. in Konin . The title of Innovator of the Year 2025 was awarded to Water Supply and Sewage Company Ltd. in Konin – a company managing critical infrastructure, which, among other things, invests in photovoltaic installations, effectively striving for energy self-sufficiency. The ceremony was crowned with a performance by Julia Wasielewska, a participant in this year’s edition of The Voice of Poland.

The second day of Renewable Energy Days took the form of workshops and was held at the Poznań Science and Technology Park. Participants took part in practical actvities devoted to electromobility, green public procurement, and financing projects related to renewable energy sources.

We would like to thank all participants, speakers, and partners for taking part in the event and for their joint commitment to the development of green transformation in Wielkopolska region.
