SOLIDARITY WITH UKRAINE

2022-03-29
MARCH SHOWED FULL MOBILIZATION AND READINESS TO PROVIDE SELFLESS HELP TO THE CITIZENS OF UKRAINE WHO FOUND THEMSELVES IN A STATE OF WAR. ALL ACTIVITIES ARE IMPORTANT – BOTH SMALL AND LARGE UNDERTAKINGS, REALLY SUPPORTING PEOPLE WHO NEED HELP IN MANY AREAS.

We work together!

As an institution, we also feel obliged. This is all the more important for us because since 2014 the Poznań Science and Technology Park of the Adam Mickiewicz University Foundation together with the Kulczyk Foundation has been implementing one of the key scholarship programs, i.e. Dr. Jan Kulczyk Scholarships for AMU students – citizens of Ukraine. In view of the existing situation, a unanimous and immediate decision was made to disburse the funds immediately, and not as planned in 9 tranches. Since help is usually mutual, one of the Scholarship Holders offered support as a translator, which we use.

The team of the Kindergarten “Park Dwarfs PSTP” not only got involved in supporting Families from Ukraine who are located in Naramowice, but also provided places for their Children in the Kindergarten so that they could continue their education and integrate with the peer group.

The Laboratory of Imagination PSTP decided to engage in a number of actions that allow Ukrainian citizens, especially the youngest ones, to acclimatize to our country. You can meet us at the Arena in Poznań, because every Wednesday we conduct educational workshops as part of the Arena initiative with help. The Laboratory of Imagination also invites you to contact us – our Educators are open to new integration initiatives for children and youth!
We invite you to contact us: wyobraznia@ppnt.poznan.pl.

We also organize a package consisting of masks and disinfectants, which we produce in PPNT laboratories, so as not to remain indifferent to the request of the Wielkopolska Capital Club, which supports the Neighbors of Ukraine in its structures. Some of them, according to their needs, will also be transferred to institutions in Naramowice, which run common rooms and activities for children coming from Ukraine.

As part of the grassroots workers’ initiative, mini-auctions and a Spring Drop in PSTP were also launched for families from Ukraine, those Families who found themselves in our immediate surroundings and in solidarity we are trying not only to help, but also to relieve the organizers of this help.

On March 19, together with the Naramowice Housing Estate Council and institutions operating in Naramowice, we organized a spring integration for Families from Ukraine at PSTP. We told guests about the nature in our area, which encourages walks and various activities, as well as about important places in the district. There were also attractions and workshops for children.

We are also working on the organization of Polish language courses in cooperation with the academic community of the Adam Mickiewicz University and on a scientific project in accordance with the propagated #ScienceForUkraine movement. As soon as these initiatives start, we will inform.

We focus on good communication and longevity

We are constantly monitoring aid actions, we focus on communication and we want to develop long-term and necessary actions that will support the Citizens of Ukraine in the new everyday life. We hope that we will be able to launch Polish language classes, a job exchange, as well as summer camps for Children from Ukraine. We will keep you informed about the actions taken.

We have space at our disposal and we will be happy to share it! This is a movement room in the Park Kindergarten, as well as in accordance with the availability of the schedule, conference rooms in PSTP. Therefore, if you are conducting activities for the benefit of the Citizens of Ukraine, especially in Naramowice, let’s contact us! Together you can do more!

Recommendations

First of all, following the friendly institutions, we encourage all technology companies to join the initiative #TechForUkraine the Tech to the Rescue Foundation, which networks and enables cooperation between companies involved in the creation of digital tools and non-profit organizations seeking support in this area.

Our city also started the “Poznań for Ukraine” campaign. Current needs and current information, including about the Central Collection Points for Ukraine, can be found primarily on the FB profile of Czuły Poznań.

It is also worth taking advantage of the questionnaire that the Poznań City Hall has prepared to submit the forms of support offered in order to more easily coordinate aid activities for Ukrainian Citizens.

You can also support the constantly verified collections, which we wrote about here.

Together we can do more

We are open to cooperation – if you are building actions to support the Citizens of Ukraine, especially in Naramowice, let’s join forces! We invite you to contact us:
