As part of the activities of the Enterprise Europe Network at the Poznań Science and Technology Park, efforts are being made to take into account the views of entrepreneurs from across Europe. The European Commission is currently conducting consultations on late payments and encourages participation in a survey.
In the European Union, up to 40 billion invoices are issued each year, which means over 500 documents per second. Despite the high dynamics of economic turnover, more than half of them are not paid on time. This phenomenon poses a significant operational and financial challenge for companies operating on the European market.
Small and medium-sized enterprises, which form the backbone of the EU economy, are particularly affected by the effects of late payments. Late payments can lead to a loss of liquidity, increased operating costs, reduced investment opportunities and disruption to day-to-day operations.
The survey is available in Polish and takes a few minutes to complete. The responses will be used by the European Commission to develop legislative recommendations.
